The Truth regarding the Rajm/Stoning to Death in Islam

Glory to Allah! He is Far Above What They Say…
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, and peace be upon the Messengers, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. What follows is an excerpt from the speech you brought to us, O al-ʿĀmirī:
“The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “(If) a virgin (commits illegal sexual intercourse) with a virgin, (the punishment is) one hundred lashes and exile for a year.” The second type of punishment for zinā is stoning until the offender dies. Then his body is to be ritually bathed and shrouded. Funeral prayers are to be held for him and mercy shall be pronounced upon him. He shall be buried with Muslims. This punishment is for those who have previously entered into marriage and enjoyed lawful sexual intercourse. The punishment remains valid even if such a person commits zinā after divorcing his wife. The Commander of the Faithful ʿUmar b. al-Khattāb, may Allah be pleased with him, proclaimed while upon the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that: “Indeed, Almighty Allah sent Moḥammad with the truth, and revealed the Qur’an to him. The Qur’an contained the verse of stoning. We have recited it, memorized it and understood it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed the ritual of stoning. After his death, we continued the tradition. I now fear that with time, people might forget this ritual because they do not find it in the Qur’an. Consequently, they will be led astray by discarding an obligation sent down by Allah. Stoning is a truth contained in the Book of Allah. It is to be applied to married men or women who have committed zinā when evidence is established, or pregnancy is achieved, or the offender confesses.” This was proclaimed by the Commander of the Faithful ʿUmar b. al-Khattāb, may Allah be pleased with him, publicly so that no one is able to deny stoning merely because it is no longer to be found in the Qur’an. Almighty Allah eliminates or confirms what He wills. While the verse of stoning has been eliminated from the Qur’an, its provision remains active till the day of judgment. End of Excerpt”
This is the end of the holy speech, as you see it. It has been made to look as though a Holy Quran has been sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. To what end are you using it as remonstration upon the Awaited Mahdi and his followers, as though they will be held to account for it on the Day of Judgment? Do you not fear Allah? Is it not the Qur’an the remonstration that will be used to hold to account Moḥammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny, the Awaited Mahdi, al-ʿĀmirī and all of mankind, when they stand before Almighty Allah? The Qur’an itself states:
[Qur’an - Surah:43 - az-Zukhruf - Verse:44]
Have a look, O Muslims, into this fabricated hadith attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny: “(If) a virgin (commits illegal sexual intercourse) with a virgin, (the punishment is) one hundred lashes and exile for a year!” It is as though a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth—and for wounds equal retaliation! O nation of Islam, by Allah, the one and only except whom there is no deity, you shall never truly follow this Qur’an until you understand. In reality, you do not follow your intellect nor do you give credence to thought; you all are like the worst of creatures. Almighty Allah states:
[Qur’an - Surah:8 - al-Anfal - Verse:22]
So come, let us use reason and reflect on this fabricated ḥadīth, which differs from what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) actually said. It is claimed that he said: 'A virgin with a virgin: one hundred lashes and exile for a year.' Let us first use our intellect and then examine his ruling through the lens of reason. As for the intellect of the Awaited Mahdi, as well as that of al-‘Āmirī and all human minds, they will all speak with one unified voice and declare: 'How can a woman be exiled far away from her family?! Is this a punishment for committing the indecency of fornication—or are we granting her even more freedom by allowing her to roam freely, away from her family, to do as she pleases? Would reason and logic ever accept such a thing?' This is in confirmation of what Allah the Almighty proclaims:
[Qur’an - Surah:22 - al-Hajj - Verse:46]
So come, let us examine: what does human reason judge in this matter? It will say: 'It is illogical to exile a woman away from her family, for such a punishment would only grant her more and more freedom, and she would commit more indecency and immoral behavior—since now she is free and unrestrained, far from her family, doing whatever she pleases.' So then, O human intellect, what does your logic conclude? Our minds will respond, saying: 'Logic dictates the complete opposite of exile: it is that such women be confined within their homes.' Then we turn to the decisive rulings in the Book of Allah: Do we find therein a judgment that aligns with the logic of sound reason? Indeed, we find that God’s ruling corresponds precisely with the judgment of the minds with which He has blessed His servants. Allah the Most High says:
[Qur’an - Surah:4 - an-Nisa’ - Verse:15]
"Allāhu Akbar! Allāhu Akbar! Allāhu Akbar! Who speaks truer than Allah, when we find that He constantly commands us to use our intellect — for it never turns blind to the truth? Now consider: when we referred the matter first to our minds, the intellect of the Awaited Mahdī, as well as that of al-‘Āmirī, and every rational Muslim, responded through their reason and said to its possessor: 'It is not logical that a woman should be exiled away from her family because she committed the indecency of fornication. On the contrary — such exile would lead her, instead of having fornicated with one man, to return having fornicated with three hundred and sixty, one for every day of her year of exile! Each night spent in the embrace of a different man, because she had been granted total freedom.' This is the ruling given by the intellect of the Awaited Mahdī, Nasser r Mohammad al-Yemānī, and the intellect of al-‘Āmirī, and al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿUmar, and all the righteous forerunning anṣār, and indeed by all the minds of rational human beings, rather than those among mankind who are like the worst of creatures who do not think or reflect. As Allah the Almighty says:
[Qur’an - Surah:8 - al-Anfal - Verse:22]
Do you not see that it is the intellect that distinguishes between truth and falsehood—when its possessor uses it and reflects? Then it will guide its owner to the truth. However, Allah did not grant the intellect authority over the human being; its only role is to say: ‘This is a true statement, for it aligns with reason and logic; and this is a false statement, for it contradicts reason and logic.’ Indeed, it is the failure to use the intellect that caused the disbelievers to enter Hellfire. That is why they said:
[Qur’an - Surah:67 - al-Mulk - Verse:10]
So, O my people, the condition for following the truth is the use of reason. That is why Allah the Exalted said:
[Qur’an - Surah:57 - al-Hadid - Verse:17]
[Qur’an - Surah:3 - Al-Imran - Verse:118]
And Allah the Most High also said:
[Qur’an - Surah:4 - an-Nisa’ - Verse:15]
Indeed, that 'other way' was the revelation of the new legal ruling: the prescribed punishment (ḥadd) of lashing for freemen and freewomen who commit fornication. For the man who commits fornication with a woman, Allah commanded that he be harmed through harsh speech and social exclusion—that he eat alone, and not be sat with—until he repents and refrains from fornication. As for women, Allah commanded that those proven guilty of indecency be confined to their homes. As Allah the Exalted says:
[Qur’an - Surah:4 - an-Nisa’ - Verses:15-16]
"Do you know what is meant by the words of Allah the Most High:
[Qur’an - Surah:4 - an-Nisa’ - Verse:15]
What is meant here is both the unmarried woman and the married woman. They are to be confined to the house of their families. For when a married woman commits adultery, she is to be taken out of her husband’s house and placed under confinement in her own family’s home. Allah the Most High said:
[Qur’an - Surah:65 - at-Talaq - Verse:1]
In that case, she is removed from her husband's home in order to be confined in the house of her family. As for the two males—whether unmarried or married—who commit indecency, their punishment is verbal humiliation and social ostracism: speaking to them harshly, not eating with them, not sitting with them, until they repent from fornication, for indeed it is an abomination and an evil path. And if it becomes known that they have sincerely repented, then Allah has commanded us to let them be, for my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah the Most High says:
[Qur’an - Surah:4 - an-Nisa’ - Verses:15-16]
"However, the legal punishment (ḥadd) was later revealed, prescribing flogging for all—for the fornicating women and men alike, whether unmarried or married. Allah the Most High said: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
[Qur’an - Surah:24 - an-Nur - Verses:1-2]
"But you say that it was a verse in the Book, yet its wording was abrogated while its ruling remained! Glory be to Allah, the Most Great! Are not all the verses of the Qur’an—even those that were replaced—still preserved in wording, safeguarded from distortion? Then why is it that the verse of stoning (rajm) is said to have been revealed, and yet we find only its ruling in the Sunnah, but not its text in the Book? Where did it go? Did the cat eat it? Will you not reason? Will you not be mindful of God? Do you have any authority from Allah for this claim? Or are you speaking about Allah that which you do not know?"
O nation of Islam, O pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah! By Allah—there is no deity but Him—you have not truly followed the Book of Allah, nor have you ruled by what Allah has revealed in many matters. Now the awaited Mahdi has come to you—by a precise decree written in the Book—to bring you out of darkness into light. Yet you are now in the era of dialogue before the eventual appearance (of the Mahdi). And the awaited Mahdi will not be able to lead you out of darkness into light unless you follow the Book of Allah, the Glorious Qur’an. As Allah the Exalted says:
[Qur’an - Surah:14 - Ibrahim - Verse:1]
[Qur’an - Surah:7 - al-A`raf - Verse:2]
And as He proclaims:
[Qur’an - Surah:7 - al-A`raf - Verse:37]
"So how can you expect me to follow that which contradicts the clear, decisive verses of the Book of Allah, O you ignorant ones? By Allah—there is no god but Him and no one worthy of worship besides Him—even if all of humankind and jinn were to come together to narrate a hadith and claim it is from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), yet I find it contradicts the decisive rulings of the Book of Allah, then I will never follow such a hadith. Rather, I would grind it beneath the sole of my foot—because it is from other than Allah, for it goes against the clear rulings of Allah’s Glorious Qur’an. Even before realizing it contradicts the Book of my Lord, my reason had already rejected it. And it is not only the reason of the Awaited Mahdi that rejects such a hadith—claiming, for example, that a woman should be exiled from her family for an entire year if she commits adultery—But, by Allah, even the reason of the average person (like al-ʿĀmirī) would reject such a hadith based on logic and sound judgment. And then you will find that the ruling laid down in the Book of Allah is what the mind agrees with and affirms."
"So what solution do you offer, O people? By Allah, if I had minds to give, I would have gifted them to you freely, without asking for anything in return. But unfortunately, I have no minds to distribute to you. Praise be to Allah, who distinguished human beings from animals through intellect—but by Allah, if one does not use his reason, he is just like cattle that do not reflect.
As Allah the Almighty says:
[Qur’an - Surah:25 - al-Furqan - Verse:44]
Yes, by my Lord—how many among mankind are like cattle who do not think!
And that is why they will not follow the Reminder, nor will they follow the Awaited Mahdi, until the night overtakes the day. Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return."
"And peace be upon the messengers, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
